ABOUT CAMBODIA
Senhoa is implementing four major projects in Cambodia:
1. THE THOI BAO SEN NON LOTUS BLOSSOM PRESCHOOL AND SAMAKI COMMUNITY CENTER
OBJECTIVES:
* Provide education and early childhood development programs to children from the Banteay Chas community
(vulnerable group of Vietnamese/Khmer who mainly work as rubbish/ recycling collectors). The program is aimed
at children between the ages of 4 to 6 to aid them with developing social skills, motor skills, encourage mental
and emotional growth and prepare them for entry into primary school. Children are washed and provided with a nutritious snack, vitamins and medical check-ups.
* After school hours, the space is also used as a Community Center, providing personal development and community-building workshops.
Through outreach work, a 'whole family' approach is fostered. We believe it is only by working with the whole family that you can achieve
real change for individuals.
